After the accident, Matt could not bring himself to concentrate on his work. The futility of his work and the pointlessness of all the client meetings in five-star restaurants started weighing him down like an anchor. He longed to break free from the life that he spent his entire life building. The ridiculousness of this idea was the only thing that was keeping him from quitting for the past three months.
One day, as he was shopping for groceries at the super-market he ran into Ryan. He was running around the aisle with the breakfast cereals and checking out all the labels. Just then, Ryan seemed to notice something he wanted, for he started jumping with excitement and calling out for his mother.
As his mother approached and looked at the cereal packet that Ryan was now holding in his hand, Matt decided to walk over and say “Hi” to them.
