After that debate competition, life became a fairy tale. Just as Satya was struck by Dhaara’s beauty and brains, Dhaara also admired Satya’s idealistic way of approach, his zest to change negative things, his optimism to do something good for the society and the people at large. Basically, it was their thoughts that fell in love with each other and then both of them just followed.

Unlike present times, high class cafeterias and swanky restaurants were not the factors that decided the outcome of a date or a love affair. It wasn’t the time of social networking, whatsapping, selfie-clicking or one-night-sands. A movie together, a cup of tea at a simple road side stall, a pani puri date or just a walk holding hands was a part and parcel of romance. Satya and Dhaara used to hang out in the university canteen or library and when not in the University, their favourite spots were the Lodhi Gardens or the gardens near India Gate.

They would discuss all sorts of things watching families and children as they shared some beautiful leisure moments together. They didn’t need cozy candle light dinners, instead the hustle bustle of routine life in the background, laughter of families in the background always made a perfect backdrop for their perfect dates. It was as if they were made for each other………… until those job offers changed everything.
